Barry County, home to more than 35,000 people,
is situated in far southwest Missouri, placing us in the heart
of Ozark Mountain Country. The topography ranges from flat
prairie-like farmland, to steep and rough hill country. The
diverse landscape gives way to a diverse economy.
There are several industrial operations located
in Barry County. Agriculture also plays a vital roll, led by
poultry operations and beef cattle farms.
Tourism is another aspect of the Barry County
economy, thanks to Roaring River State Park and Table Rock Lake,
one of the premier fishing destinations in the United States.
Roaring River State Park is home to the Roaring River Hatchery
and Trout Park operated by the Missouri Department of
Conservation. The hatchery produces and stocks more than 250,000
rainbow trout each year with help from the Roaring River Spring,
which produces an average of 20 million gallons of water daily.

In addition to having an economic base, Barry
County is has two hospitals, Cox Monett Hospital and St John's
Hospital-Cassville. There are several physicians offering both
family practice and specialized medical treatment in clinics at
Monett, Cassville and Shell Knob.
Education is also important in Barry County,
which has six state accredited school districts. The Crowder
College-Watley Center also allows for further education.
We are in close proximity to
Springfield-Branson Regional Airport in Springfield, MO and
Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport in Bentonville, AR., making
business and recreational travel easily accessible.
Barry County is in a thriving area of our
state, yet still has a friendly small-town appeal.
