Marriage Licenses

After marriage licenses are returned for recording, a certified copy will be mailed to the address provided on the application.

What you need to know

1. You must be 18 years of age or older to obtain a marriage license.
2. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.
3. All parties must appear in person to complete the marriage license application.
4. There is a three day waiting period after the application is made before the license can be issued.
5. Once the license is issued, parties must get married within 30 days.
6. The license is only good in Missouri.
